LENTEN CHARITY PROJECT 2015

GRIEF TO GRACE

Healing the wounds of sexual, emotional and physical abuse

The charity Grief to Grace is St Raphael's Lenten Programme for fundraising. Founded in the US in 2007, Grief to Grace has been recently established in the UK. It is a charity which runs a specialist programme of spiritual and psychological healing for those who have suffered sexual, emotional or physical abuse in childhood or adolescence, or violation in adulthood, including the victims of clergy abuse. It combines an expert understanding of the psychology of trauma with the healing power of Christ, the Divine Physician. The Grief to Grace charity's UK and International Pastoral Director, Fr Dominic Allain, came to St Raphael’s on the first Sunday of Lent to celebrate Mass with us and speak about the work of the charity.
